FLACS - Explo
FLACS-EXPLO exploits the user friendly interfaces and infrastructure of the FLACS simulator and can offer the ability to define a charge of high explosives, and simulate the pressure waves resulting from a given scenario. It can be used to estimate how explosive charges of different type and size can threaten buildings like embassies and airports, as well as subway systems and tunnels. Safe storage of explosives is another area of use. FLACS-EXPLO can then be used as a design tool to optimise the design to minimise the high-impact zones from explosives. Certain types of mitigation measures will also be modeled.
